Greetings from France!

We are just a few days away from Easter celebrations in Europe.  Most countries in Europe still recognise Easter as a public holiday – all the while knowing absolutely nothing about the true meaning of Easter.  England, for example, has Europe’s largest protestant population. But a recent poll shows that fewer than 17% of England’s Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead.  I would imagine that number to be far less in more secularised countries like France, Germany and the Czech Republic.

In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul argues that if you take the resurrection from the dead out of The Faith we Christians are just wasting our time.  If we don’t believe that Christ rose from the dead, we are just playing at religion. Absent the resurrection, we are still dead in our sins.  We are to be pitied above all peoples.

This weekend our seventy-seven church planting teams across Europe will be boldly proclaiming not only their belief in the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead, but, they will be sending the message that Jesus is ALIVE today!  The next time you see branches moving in the wind, think of Christ living in this world. He is invisible, but, just as real as the wind causing those branches to move and its leaves to fall to the ground. Christ is alive! He lives in all those who believe in and follow Him!  Please pray for our church planting teams in Europe. Ask for boldness as they seize every opportunity to talk about Jesus.

Orphaleena at the printers!

Yesterday we took the finalized french version of Orphaleena to a local printer here.  Thank you to those of you who gave to make it a possibility. We are trusting the Lord for HUGE ministry opportunities through Orphaleena’s story of redemption.

Julie and her family

We’ve been reaching out to a family for the past 5 years.  They are not married and Julie has three children from a previous marriage who are good friends with Annie and Julia.  Yesterday, Julie came to the house in tears following a run in with her boyfriend who has been increasingly abusive to her and the children.  We told her she and the girls could stay with us whenever they wanted to. And, were able to share the gospel with her, as we have done in the past.  But, yesterday for the first time she was responsive. Her biggest question remains, “how could He, if He exists, allow her to keep getting into abusive relationships?”  Julie, like most of our french friends believe in a “higher power.” After explaining that Jesus wants to fill her soul and walk with her daily, she allowed us to pray for her.  She stopped short of trusting God for her salvation. So, let’s keep praying. Lets pray her and the girls would be protected and freed from the abuse. Sara invited Julie to Church this weekend.  Pray Julie and the girls would give their lives to Christ.

Big news

Some big news to tune in next week for…  Next week we will have some big news about an up and coming move for us.  We’ve been 11 years in France and are sensing the Lord’s calling to… more next week.

Jesus is Risen!
