Dear Epaphras

THANK YOU for your hospitality this summer!  We arrived back to France tired, yet very encouraged and refreshed.  It was great to see so many of you and share what the Lord is doing in Europe!  We will certainly share more details in the coming weeks and months.

We landed last Wednesday and the girls were back in school Thursday morning.  We’ve been catching up with neighbors, friends and ministry partners since then.

Please pray for our immigration interview tomorrow from 2-3PM (Steve) and 3-4PM (Sara).  For the past three years we’ve been working on becoming dual citizens – USA and France.  The interview will cover French history, politics, the judicial system and culture.  As ministers of the Gospel, special questions will be asked to confirm whether or not we respect the french value of secularism. Secularism in France is not a ‘negative’ thing.  The basic idea is twofold; 1) the state is neutral to all religions and 2) people are free to believe or not believe as they choose and take on the religion of their choice.  However, some wrongly associate ‘secularism’ with atheism and that is where things get tricky.

Thank you in advance for your prayers…  More soon.
