Julia’s Surgery Update

Dear Epaphras,

We spoke with the surgeon and her digestive specialist this morning. Both of them said the surgery went well. It was long and drawn out however, and, the challenge now seems to be pain management. there was a lot of internal rearranging that was done and a 5 inch lateral incision just under her rib cage. she has a morphine pump and can use it every 7 minutes. there is some fluid collecting in her lungs which she needs to cough up. pray she would be able to bear the pain needed to produce a healthy cough.
