Dear Epaphras,
Hello from Toulouse!  Some great news on the health front.  Julia just came out of the OR for an exploratory endoscopy and they said her stomach looks great!  This is a confirmation that the supposed ulcer has gone (a result of much prayer and good medical care).  We will head home either this evening or tomorrow morning.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce the International Leadership Team (ILT) of PIONEERS, pictured below with faces of those in sensitive areas blurred out.  The ILT is lead by our International Director.  The team is comprised of 7 Regional Leaders (Steve leads the Europe Region), 7 Mobilization Base Directors (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Ghana, the UK, Canada and the US.) and one member at large.  It is this team that provides leadership and oversight for our nearly 2700 missionaries serving in 101 different countries.

Thank you for praying as the ILT met this past week in Atlanta.  God was glorified and some said it was our best meeting ever.  We sought the Lord for direction within PI on the following topics : how do we embrace increasing diversity (church planters joining our teams from Latin america, Asia and Africa)?; how do we do a better job of initiating church planting movements among the unreached?; how do we position / protect the children of our workers (TCKs or Third Culture Kids) to “thrive” as they live cross culturally?; and what does global security look like in the face of increasing kidnappings by terrorist movements?

Thank you for praying for last weeks International leadership meetings in Atlanta.  God answered.  Sara and i continue to be grateful for the family he has given us in PIONEERS.

Praise : for Julia’s continued good health; God calling the Eastmans and Kerrs to minister among the Basque

Prayer : for Josiah (14) and Abigail (12) K as they integrate into Spanish culture, for this weekend when we go back to Azereix to celebrate Thanksgiving with our friends; for God to continually draw Annie and Julia to Himself (John 6:55)

Thanks for standing with us as we lead Gospel Heralds in Europe.
