Dear Epaphras,
Well, we made it back to Basque Country after a very busy, but amazing summer! Our 8 weeks back in the U.S. were filled with family reunions, reconnecting with old (and new) friends, updating supporters, time with cousins (sleepovers included), church picnics, barbecues, etc..

We are adjusting back to French life and getting back into the swing of things, hence this prayer email. We are trying a new format in connecting with all of you that support us by your prayers. We will be sending out brief email postcard weekly.  Thanks for standing with us and our workers in Europe.  Here are two things God is doing.

14 baptisms in the Mediterranean

Our team leaders in M, Steve and Sheri, write; “We had the joy of baptizing 9 adults and 5 children last month in the Mediterranean.  These were people who had come to Jesus recently and wanted to make a public confession of their faith in Jesus.”  lets pray for these new followers of Jesus!  May their faith in Jesus lead many to Him!

Team leaders gather in France

Steve’s trip last week to Valence, France went well. All of the team leaders with PIONEERS in France met for 3 days to seek the Lord, strategize, encourage and fellowship together. Charles Bavelloni, our Francophone Europe Area Leader, led the retreat.  Charles was an encouragement to all who attended.  Dorcas Harbin from OneAnother ministries led sessions on team building.  I can’t imagine a more diverse group of people : 8 different nationalities whos only language in common is french.  So diverse, yet because of Jesus we are blood brothers and sisters.  Some of the team leaders faces are blurred as they are ministering in highly sensitive Muslim areas of France.  Pray for these men and women and the 40 plus church planters they lead.
