Dear Epaphras,

In just a few hours our family leaves for our biennial European conference.  This year’s conference is on the island of Malta a few kilometers from where the apostle Paul was shipwrecked in Acts 27.  We’ve been planning this conference for more than a year.  You might think, “Wow, Malta is an exotic location…”  It is.  But, it also happens to have the most affordable conference centers in Europe.  The theme of this conference is, “Shipwrecked, pressing on through the unexpected…”

We will be studying the book of Acts.  Here are some ways you can pray for the conference :

  • pray for us as we oversee the conference with more than 250 in attendance
  • pray for Sara as she meets with the women on the regional team
  • pray for the girls as they strengthen and form old and new friendships
  • we are asking the Lord that everyone in attendance would make it a point to encourage at least one other person

Thailand –

3 days following the Malta conference Steve will be gone 12 days and is co-leading a gathering of all PIONEERS Area Leaders in Thailand.  There are 41 leaders serving 248 teams in 100 countries (2012 PIONEERS Stats).  These strategic meetings are aimed at strengthening leaders to better serve teams and multiply disciple making movements!

Summer in the USA –

Our 3rd major and longest upcoming trip will be our return to the US for home assignment this summer. From June 23 until August 22 we will be visiting MN, IL, FL and CA.  Each Sunday we are looking forward to sharing about what God is doing across Europe. Please go to our website: www.curreyer.com for dates and times of when we will be in your area. We would love to see you!  2013 Calendar

Health

Steve’s health (Health update: Steve’s health is slowly improving.  Even though this arthritic inflammation crisis isn’t over yet, he is pain-free during the day. The hard part is at night, during the night where he still has quite a lot of pain in his chest, ankles, etc. His recent blood test was very encouraging as inflammatory numbers are decreasing and he doesn’t need to start the new treatment which included a very mild chemotherapy drug.  We are thankful

Thanks for standing with us.  We will send you some news from Malta.

Blessings in Jesus,

Steve, Sara, Annie and Julia
